Our financial situation before b:hip

Even though we both had an income, we didn’t have enough money. The economic situation in Mexico is difficult. We needed an extra income, in addition to what we were already doing. When we found out that this extra income could be in dollars, we wanted to know what the b:hip business was all about.

Our challenges at the beginning

The beginning was not easy, but as a team we made it through.

MARY – The first year was difficult, because Ros did want to do the business full time, but I did not. I have a degree in Business Administration. I have a master’s degree in pedagogy. I was like, “I studied to do other things”. All for having this preconception about studying, right? “That’s for those who don’t study” -I used to think. So, it was very hard for me to change that mentality, and that’s why it was very difficult. Besides, for me it involved doing something totally different.”

ROSEMBERG – I am a CPA. I come from a family where my parents were working all day long. So, I wanted to have a job that gave me freedom and I can be lucky enough to see my children grow up.

Personally, I said, whatever I have to learn I will learn, I don´t mind. Why? Because what I learned was not enough to be able to live well. I see that other less prepared people are already doing it, with much less age, and they are doing very well. So, I said, I’m going to do this, I want to know more! I was telling Mary: We are going to travel; we are going to earn dollars and we are going to make it!

The first half was the hardest, not so much about the work and getting things done, but really deciding to do it and having our mindset expand. Changing our beliefs, our habits, and being willing to carry out the system to have a result was challenging.

When we started earning $500 to $700 dollars a month and started noticing those results, Mary realized that it was getting better business and that’s how she ended up deciding to do this.

Unique marketing strategy of b:hip

We won a trip to Los Cabos, here in Mexico!

MARY – I took advantage of that trip and really enjoyed it. I saw the Sea of Cortez. I saw where the two seas meet, and so many other things, I was fascinated. And during that trip I was challenged. There I had the opportunity to meet Karin Sarfelt, who had a great impact on me. She is a mom too, and since many of my excuses were my children… At that time, she said to me: “What would you like your children to achieve?” And I answered: I would like them to travel, to fulfill their dreams. And she, in a very blunt way, told me: “They are not going to make it”. And I asked her, but why not? And she said, “Because children do what they see us do, not what we say. So, if you really want your kids to do that, you have to show them the way. You have to stand up, you have to change, be strong and work hard so that it can be a reality, not just an idea.

So, that conversation broke me, it was like a breaking point for me. The truth is that that moment was very hard, it felt like a shock. And well, thanks to that I made the decision to join Rosemberg and open a system here in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, which is our city, and from there the rest is history. But yes, it was hard.

Characteristics of a leader in b:hip

ROSEMBERG  – First of all, a leader is a person with great resilience. In fact, to be resilient is to be a person who, even against the odds and against all circumstances, gets up again and again. Secondly, a leader must be willing to change and enjoy it because, through daily work, great extraordinary results can be obtained, such as trips, clothes, car, among other extraordinary things. Thirdly, a leader sees opportunities, can appreciate them, can discern them well and make a decision.

MARY  –  And finally, a leader is a very empathetic person.

At b:hip, we work in teams and interact with people who are very different from us. So, it’s very important to develop that empathy, to be able to understand people who come from a difficult background, perhaps without a job, as well as professional people. It’s about having that ability to work with anyone, without prejudice.

b:hip is for everyone. There’s a place for everyone here. It doesn’t matter your race, your religion, your preference, nothing, nothing matters. It only matters that you want to change your life. So as a leader, you need to be empathetic and be able to give this opportunity to work as a team and achieve goals.

So, if someone is resilient, has a predisposition to change, can have a vision ahead of what might happen and is empathetic they can become a great leader.

Support for our team at b:hip

We conduct workshops and working groups constantly. These are personal growth sessions, where we are constantly bringing statistics to our team, so that each one of them works knowing what their productivity is.

Generally, we hold competitions to encourage the team to obtain better results. The fact that they realize that b:hip rewards us for working is a blessing in our company – we make money doing our business, but b:hip rewards you! How can we not give it our all and encourage each other to raise our productivity?

Is b:hip a pyramid scheme?

b:hip is a company that has a very substantial compensation scheme or plan. Now, when you see a structure that is two people bringing in two people, and two people bringing in two people, it’s true that some people might mistake it for a pyramid. But a pyramid is a fraud and we would never dedicate ourselves to that, nor to harm people, never. We always say that b:hip’s vision is to impact people’s lives.

For example, in a company or in an organization there will always be an organizational chart, simply to specify structures, hierarchies, commands, authority and functions.

And in b:hip we do the same thing. We have this structure or this outline. When you see the leader bringing in two people and this person brings in two people, it’s just a snapshot of what your team is like. Now, the big difference between a pyramid or a pyramid scheme to a network marketing company is that there is a physical product, a real product that allows you to bring in real money.

We always tell them to get to know us first. That’s the best way to get out of any doubt, any concern.

b:hip rewards us for being who we are

Eventually, when your income is no longer a problem because you already cover your fixed costs and daily expenses (electricity, food, rent and so on), when all that is no longer a problem, you discover your passion.

ROSEMBERG – Mary likes teaching, that’s why she studied for her master’s degree in pedagogy. And I discovered that I like to talk, that is, I like to communicate with other people, and I am like that. It’s funny that on this platform, which is so free, we are allowed to be the way we are. We are more than happy in a company where you can be authentic and just as you are. Money is no longer a problem, there are great prizes and extraordinary experiences to come.

b:hip promotions

At b:hip, we’re not just talking about a prize like an employee of the month square, no, we’re giving you a trip that blows your brains out!

Where have you ever seen a company that tells you, earn more money and every time you do it we’ll give you a prize?

We went to Ibiza, amazing place, expensive business, spectacular food, Michelin Chef, three stars. Everything was incredible. And that was not the only trip. We went to the Maldives. It’s a paradise, we couldn’t believe it.

When you realize the level of people who can afford those trips, and we were there enjoying that too, we thought how is it possible? I mean, if you do well you make 7 to 10 thousand dollars, but the company literally paid over 40 thousand for us, it was incredible!

If we can bring anything to this company, it is our excitement and our way of transmitting to people a message that helps them realize that this is a wonderful opportunity, and we will always continue to do so.

Our greatest satisfaction at b:hip

We could never switch companies, and we mean that quite frankly. The gratitude we feel in our hearts is really genuine, because b:hip really changed not only our way of making money, but it also changed our way of looking at life and our way of helping more people.

When you realize that this is a space where you can help people in so many ways, it’s invaluable what b:hip allows us to do. So, I think the loyalty, the gratitude of always remembering where you came from and how this opportunity found you, is what allows you to put down roots.

We don’t consider ourselves as smart or as capable, it’s thanks to God always. But thanks to this opportunity, to these leaders, to these mentors and their quality of person. In this company we find real people with a good heart. You wouldn’t find that anywhere else. That’s why our root is well placed here.

Working as a couple in b:hip

During this process of joining b:hip, we have been getting to know each other in different moments and aspects. I think that as a couple we have gone through very difficult times, financially, health-wise and with our children. The company has helped us a lot to cultivate this relationship, to be able to trust each other and to grow as people, which is something very important in every couple.

In a couple, when one of the two develops professionally and the other one does not, you go as if you are uneven, you go as if you are out of phase, and I believe that the company contributes a lot to that as a couple, allowing us to grow as a team. It allows us to put us both in different environments, but in a joint development. So that has been a blessing, an added value to everything that the company already gives us.

Through b:hip, we have gotten to know each other in other ways. We were able to observe each other facing fears and that was very gratifying.

Being in b:hip has taken us out of that comfort zone that everyone talks about, but in a very real, genuine and powerful way.
